I went to Dr. Susan Maples on the recommendation of my love Mike. I’m always apprehensive about going to a new dentist but I did trust Mike. As a young girl I became to hate the thought of going to any dentist because of the treatment I got then. From my first visit at Dr. Maples, I felt that I was important and that they would give me the very Best service. It might be because I am a woman and all of Dr. Maples staff are women and very professional women. They take care of you they make you comfortable Dr. Maples does a marvelous job in Assessing all of your dental needs and upfront lets you know what they are. I certainly would recommend Dr. Maples to anyone that needs Gentle Dental Attention.
I contacted their office in January after reading many wonderful reviews online. Their staff was super helpful in scheduling a new patient appointment for me for when my new insurance kicks in (March). I mentioned having a broken tooth and was told if I needed to come in sooner, to let them know and they would be happy to help with that. Fast forward to this weekend, my broken tooth broke more and now started catching on my tongue, causing me a lot of pain. I decided to call and leave a message for them on Saturday so they could get back to me Monday, while I was at work. Much to my surprise, I received a call at 8:05am this morning and was told due to some schedule changes, they could fit me in this morning. I jumped right on the opportunity. When I arrived I was greater by a pleasant, quiet wait room, complete with ice water and keurig machine for coffee and tea. The sign said someone would be with us shortly, and they were. The staff was very pleasant, understanding, and kind. From check in to check out, Dr. Susan Maples and her staff exceeded every expectation I had. I would recommend them to any one of any age. Thank you for making a very unpleasant situation not so bad. :)
It is a tremendous opportunity for patients in the Holt Michigan area to have a World Class Dentist like Susan Maples right in their hometown. I am a practicing dentist who traveled a considerable distance just to watch the daily operations of Dr Maples and her outstanding staff. She is a national leader in the movement of "Total Health Dentistry" which is understanding the connection of the health of the mouth to the rest of the body. The lives that she and her staff change on an ongoing basis is impressive. I would trust her with my health and the health of my family implicitly!!

Two thumbs down here. I sought a consultation with Dr. Susan Maples because of online publicity touting her status as a top dentist. She identified problems with three of my teeth, but offered no solutions. She left me very concerned about the problems, but with no idea what could be done about them. (I've learned since then that there are solutions). She wasn't interested in helping. She violated the doctor's mantra of "First, do no harm" by leaving me feeling hopeless and demeaned. Because I once used the county's dental clinic and took advantage of a free X-ray offer, she determined that I was a person "concerned about money" and therefore unwelcome in her practice. Dr. Maples is an elitist. Consult with her if you will, but be sure to wear your leopard coat and Rolex.
Dr. Susan Maples and her staff have treated my family and I for many years with professional and compassionate dental care. Anybody looking for an up-to-date, wonderful dentist should be here!
