The name says it all...caring. I have been taking my friends there for 4 years now and have no desire to go anywhere else. Trust them.

The staff and Doctors are awesome! They have helped us so much with our rescue kitty Binx. They have gone above and beyond to make sure he is healthy and happy. We couldn't ask for better help

Living in Holt area I love supporting the local businesses, but love it even more when a business is well deserving of the support. I like the small clinic which is very convenient to get too. Dr. Cotter is amazing with her upbeat personality and knowledge. I would recommend this vet to anyone looking for a caring and personal environment.

If I could rate -100 Initially seemed tension between doc & I as she goes on and on about how many test one cannot afford she wants to do. Refused to treat my baby boy cat if I did not agree to $108 charge for a culture. Had given my boy pain shot already aftr $55 walk thru door fee. My cat was critical-urinary blockage-been blocked 2 mos. ago at emergency clinic which was few thousand dollars, but they took superior care of him and he lived, tho he was far sicker than than at this visit. Snc already spent $80 decided to stay & have treated-biggest mistake EVER!!! Called to say he had an elevated white count; he had "very" elevated white count and reticulocyte count (2nd doctor I went shared) which indicates bad infection. His globulins were high also indicating a lot of inflammation or infection. He was not put on antibiotics. His catheter came out in the nite (no one watches for 12hrs each nite). He was urinating when they came him-still on no antibiotics. I visited my cat he seemed lethargic, more than I would expect after pressure relieved of urine now being passed-ate very little even for me. I left arnd 2:30pm; at 7:35pm I was called by 2ndary doctor saying they wanted me to pick my boy up and take him over to MSU for the nite. Unsure what next day plan might be; afraid to ask, as I would be paying over $100 for emergency fee to walk into MSU. My boy's bladder was firm; said he might be getting blocked, had urinated last 2-3hrs ago and no one would be watching him for next 12hrs. I insisted on picking him saying I don't have money for MSU but I could watch over him all night, which is what I did. THEY RELEASED HIM TO ME WITH NO ANTIBIOTICS, NO ANTI IMFLAMMATORY, NO PAIN MEDS AND NOT EVEN ONE CAN OF SPECIAL FOOD HE SHOULD BE ON!! Outrageous-complete ignorance of the facts and total negliegence!! Took him to a super good vet next morning. He was catheterized, as he was blocked again about 3hrs before we went. He was put on antibiotics-plan was for urethrostomy surgery next day to reroute urinary opening so no more blocking. Next morning very early good doctor called & said they were trying 2 stabilize him. He was on oxygen when I arrived. His assistant showed my pics on phone of all the pus coming out of him previously. They surmised he had an internal abscess and now had septicemia-a potential deadly situation. I stayed while they tried desperately to stabilize his heart and breathing but he died about noon. My precious boy was about 7yrs old. Most lay people know a high white count is infection. His blood work indicated severe infection. He was loving and sweet and came from an abandoned background. He loved life and I loved him. Steele even broke his collar there & never returned it to me. The credit on the bill is no consolation-now I don't even have that as a momento. If you cherish your pet-DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE; I DONT CARE HOW MANY "GOOD"???? REVIEWS YOU SEE!!! I surmise Steele was neglecting my pet because of our initial friction, who knows. Really, who cares? It won't bring him back!

Dr. Steele and her staff are the best! I've been going here for years and would not trust anyone else with my "fur babies". They truly are caring just like their name. They are so knowledgeable; up to date on the latest with the best treatment options; and they'll love your pet as though it was their own!
